Youth Yard Sale Fund Raiser

Hey, parents!  Just wanted to take a second to let you know about the yard sale Saturday, April 16th at the church.  Leslie still has a couple of spots open  for you to purchase if you'd like to sell your stuff!  The cost for the table and chairs and spot is $15 and we have two of those type spots left.  The other spots that we have are $10 and you provide your own table, chairs, etc.  You sell your stuff and keep all of the profits.

There will be grilled food available for sell as well as a car wash which will be ran by the youth for donations to any yard salers attending.  This should be a big, fun day and a good way for you to make a little money as well all while helping REVOVLE! Student Ministry.

Megamind Show Time for Sunday, November 7th...

The show time for "Megamind" for our Sunday AM after church event is 1:00pm.  For lunch, there are two options...

Option ONE is bring a sack lunch to eat in the Fellowship Hall immediately after church.  They should bring their own can drink as well.  As the quick 1:00 show time, we won't have time to go anywhere and the kids won't have time to go get something to bring back as we will need to leave promptly at 12:30.  The early show time will allow for us to be back in plenty of time for the girls to attend the YLM service with the special guest speaker Leslie has planned (they will NOT want to miss this!).

Option TWO is have them pick up a snack at the theater.  Be sure to check the Premiere Tannehill 14 for concession costs... and be ready to take out a second mortgage! :)

Ticket prices are $6.75/ea.

Everyone is welcome on this event.  If you wish for a younger sibling to come who aren't currently in REVOLVE! they are welcome but we also recommend the parent come as well to help chaperon the event.  We would love to have as many parents come as would like to join us!

Trip to the Theater...

 

Sunday, November 7th REVOLVE! will be going to the theaters to see "Megamind"!  The kids all said that we hadn't been to a movie together in a while so we decided to do a movie date to see this movie.  I will post show times on the REVOLVE! Facebook page and will also be announcing the times on Wednesday night  at REVOLVE!  And, as always, you're welcome to go too.  We may need some parents to provide rides depending on how many we have going.  Some from Emerge may be going with us as well.  See you Wednesday evening @ REVOLVE!

REVOLVE! Welcome Party...

Just a quick reminder to parents, about Saturday's Welcome Party for our new teens coming up from Kid's Church to REVOLVE!  The party will start at 6pm and will feature swimming, food, fun, games and time to hang out with their new (or almost new) friends in REVOLVE!

Parents are welcome to attend and the swimming will start immediately.  We will eat around 7:30, then the fun and introductions will begin.  The party will end promptly at 9pm.

The party will be at Mike & Lisa Gamble's home; they've graciously opened it up to us for the party.  Here are some directions, and can't wait to see you there!

From 216 from 20/59 (Exit 100 go toward Brookwood) turn right onto Alice Drive (Cleoster Valley).  Turn left on to Olan Drive.  Stay on Olan Drive DO NOT TURN OFF OLAN DRIVE.  When you pass the turn for Olan Circle, Mike & Lisa's house is the second one on the right.

Possible Youth Outing... July 24th

Since Laguna Beach fell through, we've been kicking around different ideas of what to do now on short notice.  We are thinking of going to Alabama Adventure on Saturday, July 24th.  We will go to the water park and stay for an evening concert.  The group rate is $22.99 + tax (9%) totaling $25.06 per teen.  This rate is if we can get over 15 people.  If interested then please see me.  We will be posting more info on the REVOLVE! Facebook page, as well as communicating the info to your teen(s) on Wednesday night.

Beach Trip Cancelled...

Due to the uncertainty of the Gulf oil spill, the Laguna Beach Retreat has been canceled.  We are looking to do an alternative white water rafting trip the Saturday of July 24th or something similar.  I will inform everyone of further details as soon as we have them.  Thanks for your understanding, and we will work to plan a beach trip next summer!  See you @ REVOLVE!

Laguna Beach Retreat Trip Costs...

Our Laguna Beach trip to Panama City Beach, Florida is Friday, July 23rd through Monday, July 26th.  We want to leave from the church around 8:30am Friday morning, and we'll leave headed back to the church on Monday morning around 10am.  This should put us back on Monday around 4 or 5pm.

The cost of the trip is $126.00 per person.  This includes three nights stay on the beach as well as all meals while at Laguna Beach.  This includes dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on both Saturday and Sunday, as well as breakfast on Monday morning.  Each person will be responsible for eating breakfast prior to us leaving on Friday morning headed down to the gulf.  We will eat lunch before we get to the beach, and they will be responsible for lunch headed back on Monday.  We will be eating fast food coming and going so please plan accordingly for this cost.

Also, this year we are planning on one excursion, which has yet to be determined.  The kids have raised some money, so we are going to see how far that gets each kid in paying for this year's excursion.  Last year we went out to eat, but we are going to forgo eating out for doing some type of activity.  Right now we are leaning toward spending Saturday at Shell Island, but we're still exploring our options.
