A Christmas Carol in Digital 3D...

Our trip to the Tannehill Premiere Cinema this past Sunday (11/22/09) went really well. Of course we watched "A Christmas Carol" staring Jim Carrey, Gary Oldman, et al. The movie was tremendous in my opinion. I've seen this story in all it's forms and version and by far this particular one made me fall in love with a story that has been told and retold ad nauseum!

The redemptive elements of the story are impeccable. The acting, though animated, was unbelieveable. I sat simply amazed all through the movie at how far movie making has come. Disney did an excellent job retaining Christmas in A Christmas Carol. I was concerned that it would be PC and divirge from the original story line. However it was well preserved by the often questionable company and for that I applaud Disney.

We took our four children with us as well and a bit of a warning should be given... the movie is very scarey for young viewers so use caution in which age group you allow to view the movie. I think it is appropriate for 7 years and up. However all our children watched and weren't overly disturbed, especially once the scarier scenes were over.

This movie is wonderful and has become an instand favorite of mine. I do recommend, if possible, to pay the extra couple of dollars and see the movie on the big screen in 3D. Truly amazing... It would make a great addition to your family's holiday fun... I mean Christmas fun... .
