November 2009 Calendar

We are planning two events for this month, knowing that it's the beginning to the most wonderfully busy time of the year. I've decided to do the events on Sunday afternoons in hopes that this will work with everyone's schedule and allow more to attend these events.

Here's what we have planned:

• Sunday, November 8th - Tag Football @ Green Pond Park: We will meet at the park @ 2pm and play touch/flag footbal until around 4pm. Please dress for the weather and have your teens bring a bottle of water or Gatorade, etc. for themselves.
  
• Sunday, November 21st - Movie Event - Disney's "A Christmas Carol": We will go directly after the Sunday AM service to eat a quick bite on Exit 1 and then see the movie @ the Premiere Cinema in the Tannehill Promenade Shopping Center also on Exit 1. The cost of the movie is $8.50 (there are no matinee prices since the movie is in Digital 3D). Please feel free to check the movie review for more info regarding this movie.

Also, Winterfest is coming up soon and if your teen(s) are planning to attend we need to get their $50 deposit by the end of November. I understand that Christmas is around the corner and money may be tight. If you cannot make the deposit by the end of the month, then please see me as arrangements can be made to ensure your teen has a spot on the trip.

There has also been made available 4 scholarships - 2 boys & 2 girls - in order to pay your teens way on the trip. These are work scholarships being provided by a family from church. If you are interested in this, then please let me know immediately as this opportunity will end in the next couple of weeks.
